Albany County was awarded Federal aid as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The County has approved the allocation of a portion of those funds towards three major primary priority areas:

- Economic Growth And Recovery
- Community Development And Public Health
- County Infrastructure and Workforce

Upcoming Economic Growth And Recovery Applications
In the coming weeks Albany County intends to open two (2) additional grant applications relating to economic recovery and growth. These programs are:
Small Business Grants: Grants to help small businesses in the County recover and grow.
On-the Job Training Fund: In partnership with the Capital Region Workforce Development Board, the Albany County will provide additional funding to support expansion of on-the-job training and existing working training in Albany County.
